Care and cleaning

GENERAL

These cleaning and maintenance instructions apply to all pore-sealed WST coatings based on epoxy resin and polyurethane resin.

Electroconductive systems must under no circumstances be treated with care emulsions, waxes or similar cleaning and care products that leave a surface film. Electroconductive systems must under no circumstances be treated with care emulsions, waxes or similar cleaning and care products that leave a surface film behind, as this can impair the conductive properties and even completely shield them.

In the case of slip-resistant bedding coverings, special cleaning machines must be used depending on the conditions and the type of brush must be adapted to the substances to be removed.

PRODUCTS

A weakly alkaline, low-foaming and almost scentless basic cleaner is recommended for removing grease, oil, emulsion coatings and other soiling. This basic cleaner can be used for basic or intermediate cleaning of all waterproof floors (exception: wood, asphalt, etc.) - also for alkali-sensitive coverings.

It can be applied by wet mopping, with a single-disc machine, a scrubbing machine or with high-pressure cleaning equipment.

Recommended composition: Non-ionic surfactants, solubilises, phosphates, fragrances. Free of formaldehyde. The surfactants are 90% biodegradable. pH-value of the concentrate approx. 8.5.

PADS

Cleaning pads are available in different colours depending on the degree of hardness. The hardness increases depending on the colour in the following order:

White/yellow (for polishing, gentle cleaning).

Blue/red or green (e.g., basic cleaning)

Brown/black (abrasive, not suitable for maintenance)

CONSTRUCTION CLEANING (only necessary if surface is dirty)

The basic cleaner must be diluted from 1:3 up to 1:8 (dependent on the dirtiness) with lukewarm water. The mixture needs to be spread evenly across the entire surface with approximately waiting 15 minutes for it to soak in. Then, clean the surface with a single-disc machine (smooth surfaces, white to red pad) or with a brush / high-pressure cleaner (for rough surfaces).

The fluid must then be completely removed from the surface and cleaned with plenty of clean water.

BASIC CLEANING (regularly)

We recommend basic cleaning twice a year to maintain the good appearance of the floor.

the basic cleaner must be diluted from 1:3 up to 1:8 (dependent on the dirtiness) with lukewarm water.

If coating or care products are applied afterwards, the surface has to be cleaned thoroughly without leaving any residue or adhesion problems may occur.

MAINTENANCE CLEANING (daily)

Dependent on the amount of dirt, maintenance cleaning can be carried out daily. It is a quick, simple, practical, and cost-saving way of keeping the floor clean.

The basic cleaner must be diluted from 1:15 to 1:30 (dependent on the amount of dirt) with lukewarm water and the floor must be mopped with a damp microfibre towel.

CONCLUSION

These cleaning and maintenance methods have proven themselves in commercial and industrial use. Nevertheless, it may occur that special dirt and soiling appears, which cannot be removed using these methods.

In this case, please contact us, a manufacturer of cleaning and care products or a specialist company that specialises in care and cleaning of resin floors.
